What if I slip up and binge?

There's a great saying, "Every success was once a failure."  Then every failure has the potential to be a success!

People who succeed in keeping their commitments aren't necessarily the people who never slip up.  Whenever they do slip, they just re-commit.  That's all.  Remove the drama from what appears to be failure and it's just another day, another meal.  In fact, old drama is likely what's keeping you in your weight dilemma.

When you go off your diet plan, chances are you also begin  either beating yourself up or saying ,"who cares?  I don't have to diet if I don't want to" or whatever your own personal thought process happens to be.

Here's a trick.  Imagine the "person" who went off your diet isn't really you, but is that person who's been living inside you who just can't keep to a diet.  Now, ask him or her if they would kindly sit on the sofa while you go about your business or eat a healthy meal.  Really imagine the person who may be overweight or not a healthy eater actually sitting there - away from you.

What's left?  Your real self.   You're not your thoughts or your drama or your impression of yourself.  You are unlimited potential every moment.  When we can separate ourselves from that old unhealthy thinking and live in this moment, change happens naturally and happily.

Why Mind-Body Exercise Helps You Lose Weight

Today I had lunch at Urth in Santa Monica with Michelle LeMay, one of the country's top fitness gurus.  She explained that stretching and yoga not only exercise the body, they also have a detoxing effect, opening up places inside us that hold onto toxicity and fat.  The side (or possibly primary) benefit is that as you open your body, you also open up and free closed aspects of your mental, emotional and spiritual self.

Anger, resentment, hurt... all negative emotions... create physical reactions in our body. When the physical components of repressed emotions aren't allowed to move through us, they establish blocks where blood flow, digestion and metabolism can't do their job.  Exercise, particularly yoga and stretching, can free both toxic fat and emotions.

Michelle's DVDs, such as "Alive in Your Body" and "Spirit Flow," are excellent examples of mind-body exercise that provides a detoxing effect physically and emotionally, while spiritually awakening your consciousness.

Hypnosis won MSNBC's Ultimate Diet Challenge!

A couple of years ago, MSNBC ran a competition.  6 folks from the Class of '78, all of whom wanted to lose at least 30 lbs., were each given a "radically different" weight loss program to see who lost the most weight in time for the Class Reunion.

The methods they used were:
1. Intense exercise - training for a marathon!
2. The Slimmest Diet - 6 low cal special meals daily
3. Weight Watchers
4. A well-recognized weight loss coach
5. The Atkins Diet
6. Hypnosis

After 10 months under the watchful eye of MSNBC, the results were in.  The big, tough former football player won.  HE LOST OVER 100 POUNDS USING HYPNOSIS!

Proof positive... hypnosis works for weight loss!  Even MAJOR weight loss.

I think people often resist because it seems TOO easy.  And because we always resist giving up the negative thoughts that have lived in the back of our minds for so long. When you clean house mentally, you'll clean house physically, too.

The REAL Secret to Losing Weight Fast and Blissfully

OK, you've tried hard to think positively about shedding that extra fat on your belly and thighs.  You told yourself you WILL push away those fries.  You planned to go to the gym 3 times a week.  You even read "The Secret" and really, really concentrated on attracting a thinner body... but it hasn't worked.  Or it worked for awhile then you went back to the old patterns. You want to lose weight now.  Instead you just feel like a loser.

It's not your fault!  You absolutely CAN lose weight - fast and blissfully - but not the way you THINK.   In fact, not by thinking at all.

There's a good reason thinking yourself thin hasn't worked.  If you had 88 people pushing one way and only 12 people pushing the other, how much chance do the 12 really have?  Those are your odds of winning the weight loss battle by thinking  and trying.  Not only will you find it hard to lose weight, you'll reinforce all the negative thoughts and emotions that are keeping that weight on.  Here's why...

Thinking and trying is done with your conscious mind. Your conscious mind only represents about 12% of your total mind power.  A full 88% of your mind power is actually controlled by your subconscious mind!  With odds like those stacked against you, why even try?  Stop trying!  Instead, start relaxing more deeply and feeling more blissful than you've ever relaxed in your life.  With hypnosis.

That's right - hypnosis!  All those old movies with the weird looking hypnotists are science fiction.  The TRUTH is hypnosis is used by medical doctors, psycologists and very well trained hypnotherapists and it's been proven in scientific studies to be one of the very best methods for losing weight.  Even Oprah says so!

During hypnosis, your conscious mind gently moves aside and allows the hypnotherapist to directly access your subconscious mind.  Once that door is opened, the positive messages you've TRIED to tell yourself can easily enter the part of your mind that controls your old behavior patterns: your subconscious.  During hypnosis, change can take place.

My blog will always provide you with the information and resources you need for safe, natural weight management and fitness and exercise programs that really work!  So... take a deep breath.   Get ready for a great new body!
